The Gardener knelt down with seed in hand and
offered His sacrifice to the Earth. The soil
received the seed and waited patiently while
the Gardener began His work. Day and night the
Gardener was faithful in nourishing His seed.
With each taste of water and each breath of
sunlight, the little seed began to take Love’s
true form. What began as a minuscule gift
bloomed into an offering that not only graced
its Master’s field but replenished the soils
and produced a manifold harvest in return.
When The Lord knelt down and planted The Vine
Wesleyan Church into the heart of the Lancaster
community no one could have fathomed the journey
the Lord had in mind for His people. Those who
were wounded were healed. Those who were lost
were touched by His presence. Those who were
sheep became shepherds. And those who thirsted
for more were satisfied. God’s outpouring of
love and grace on our church community has
shaped us into a living body of Christ. His
living water and tender nurturing of our souls,
opened our hearts to allow His love and grace
to flow through our hands, our feet, our mouths
and into the hearts and minds of those He places
along our path.
Our heart’s stories, written to the right, are wellsprings
of the unconditional love given to us through
Jesus Christ. They are expressions of our gratitude
and praise to our Heavenly Father for His constant
presence in our lives. These stories are our offering
of praise to the One who redeemed us, the One who is
faithful to us, and most notably the One who is
coming soon to gather His harvest.
