Outflow Story by Terri DiCesare
I encounter God each Sunday at The Vine, through the message most times, but also
through a greeting, a smile or a hug that always comes at just the right time. The
friends I have made here are a bonus … friends who reach out and make a difference,
friends who accept me as I am, and pray for me.
The Lord has changed my life a lot through The Vine, starting with the sense of
community that is especially strong here. In our journey together this far, we all
share the same goal or vision for our church. Our pastors work tirelessly, and they
are one of us. They stay focused on God’s plan, and keep me focused. To see our
church body come together each Sunday and make a church has inspired and amazed me.
I have also been blessed in a huge way because through The Vine my sister, brother,
niece and grandchildren have come to know and worship the Lord, which brings me
great personal comfort and joy.
The Vine Youth (One on One) has also been a great influence on my granddaughters (and
some of their friends, too), grounding them in the Lord and His Word. What a wonderful
answer to this grandmother’s prayer! I get excited at what the Lord is doing through
our youth group.
In a nut shell, because of God’s work at The Vine, my life has changed, my heart has
grown, my understanding deepened, and my knowledge of the Lord has increased. I found
friendships, love, peace, acceptance, community, and the ability to trust in Jesus.
I receive way more than I give, and it feels so good to be blessed like this … I am
thankful!
